About PROLINK
PROLINK—Canada’s Insurance Connection—is an independent, employee‑owned insurance and risk management firm. Since 1982, we have operated with a strong commitment to integrity, honesty, and genuine care for our clients and colleagues. We specialize in delivering tailored insurance and risk management solutions to knowledge‑based industries across Canada, leveraging deep expertise in select sectors to help our clients build resilient, confident organizations.
Our purpose is simple: to ensure our clients feel informed, supported, and secure in their decisions. We take pride in being responsive when it matters most and in building long‑term, one‑on‑one advisory relationships that position PROLINK as a trusted partner and advocate.
Equally important, PROLINK is an employee‑focused organization. We believe our people are our greatest asset, and we invest in them accordingly—through flexible work arrangements, personal growth plans, inclusive culture, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to become an owner in the firm.
The Role
As a Risk Advisor within our Engineering & Designers Practice, you will play a key role in expanding PROLINK’s national presence among progressive engineering and design firms. You will work with an established client base while actively developing new relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to organizations navigating complex professional, contractual, and operational risks.
By developing deep knowledge of the engineering and design sector, you will advise clients on a broad range of property and casualty (P&C) insurance solutions and risk management strategies. What differentiates PROLINK is our consultative approach: we go beyond transactional brokerage to deliver thoughtful, strategic advice grounded in industry insight and long‑term value.
You will also contribute to PROLINK’s thought leadership by supporting the development of articles, tools, and insights that address emerging risk and insurance issues relevant to the design community.
As part of the broader Commercial Enterprise team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple industry practices. This includes participation in:
- Bi‑monthly Enterprise team meetings to share insights and best practices
- Weekly sales and business development meetings focused on opportunity management and cross‑practice collaboration
- Regular check‑ins with the Account Management team to support renewals and client service excellence.

Lead business development efforts for the Engineering & Designers Practice, with the long‑term objective of building a national practice and team that reflects PROLINK’s differentiated value proposition and consultative approach.
In support of this, PROLINK uses a unique Broker of Record–led business development model, allowing relationships to begin with value rather than price. You will receive training in this approach, incorporating modern sales methodologies and behavioural science principles.
