The KPMG International People & Culture (P&C) team works to ensure our people are supported whilst carrying out their Global roles. The team consists of P&C Business Partners who provide designated support to each Global group and Global leader, and P&C Advisors who work closely with leadership in each of the core locations. Together, the team is responsible for ensuring the best possible experience for our people, irrespective of whether they are in long-term Global roles or shorter secondments.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations & HR and as a member of the GRC Operations Team, the Operations/HR Coordinator will provide direct support to the business units within the GRC and KPMGI People & Culture team through routine and transactional administrative tasks.


What you will do

  • Support and coordinate all local recruitment requests received from the KPMGI Resourcing Team, including providing administrative and coordination support for the job evaluation process.
  • Coordinate end‑to‑end onboarding and offboarding activities for all GRC joiners and leavers
  • Collaborate with HR On Demand and the HR Service Delivery Centre, and provide guidance to GRC team members on process-related inquiries
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for the annual GRC compensation process including employee data validation, calibration, promotions, salary and bonus
  • Contingent Labour, Compliance & Financial Coordination: Act as the central contact for KPMGI contingent labour requests within Canada, monitoring and managing contractor end dates and ensuring business needs are met through collaboration with stakeholders. Support requests for relevant risk trainings. Partner with the Operations and Finance Team for monthly validation of service invoices and ensure consistent application of expense processes by reviewing and guiding approval workflows while assisting GRC employees as needed
  • Reporting, Data Accuracy, Compliance & Governance: Maintain accurate and complete GRC employee files in accordance with compliance and record-keeping standards; review HR reports such as vacation, overtime, and compensation for accuracy; ensure that all GRC operations processes and documentation are current and adhere to governance standards; and support the Team Lead in reviewing and completing annual risk compliance trainings for staff
  • General Operations, Communications & Engagement: Support the GRC Social Committee in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and activities; draft and coordinate GRC communications and Microsoft Teams posts (e.g., compliance reminders, new hire announcements); provide support for mobile device accounts, maintain and update internal spreadsheets within GRC Operations; attend meetings as required, and deliver general administrative and operational assistance, alongside other assigned tasks
  • KPMGI People & Culture Team Operations Support: Manage functional mailbox inquiries by ensuring timely, accurate responses and appropriate escalation; support Operations and People & Culture team(s) through coordination of recurring calls (agenda preparation, activity facilitation, action item tracking, presentation material development); and maintain organized, up-to-date team SharePoint sites and materials

What you bring to the role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to prioritize work in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in administrative support or project management within a client-focused or shared services environment, paired with a college diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate flexibility under pressure while managing unexpected situations
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with an aptitude for learning and using other tools and technology, including knowledge of HR systems and finance-related tasks
  • The ability to handle sensitive materials with a high degree of tact and discretion, while meeting tight deadlines and adapting quickly to changing priorities or requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and follow detailed business processes, work overtime as required, and support multiple stakeholders effectively in a dynamic setting
  • College diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience with an administrative assistant skill set

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $78,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
