Our Total Rewards Actuarial team in Toronto is looking for a professional like you with the skills and drive to make a real difference.


What you will do

As a member of KPMG’s Advisory practice, you will be part of a national, multi-disciplinary team, equipped with deep sector knowledge, and use superior analytic tools. You will work directly with your clients to help them improve business performance, leverage their investments, protect financial assets, manage risk, and boost market confidence.

As a KPMG Total Rewards professional, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing job matching, supporting custom survey administration, and conducting compensation market benchmarking analysis
  • Analyzing clients’ Total Rewards programs as part of client reviews, deals, and investigations
  • Creating templates and drafting deliverables for presenting our work product to clients
  • Helping us identify new ways to support our clients’ investment in Total Rewards, using market research, leading technologies, and innovative thinking
  • Other client-engagement and practice-building activities as required

What you bring to the role

You are a highly motivated professional, who strives for excellence, collaboration, and innovation. You are passionate about being involved in your local community and have a proven ability to achieve personal and professional success while juggling competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Minimum 1 year’ experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, and/or Recruiting-related roles with responsibility for managing and/or executing multiple initiatives and process enhancements
  • Experience within a consulting environment or a professional service organization strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of Compensation and Total Rewards concepts, and knowledge of market trends
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets
  • Experience with job matching and compensation benchmarking (an asset)
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to use data to ask thought-provoking questions, make informed recommendations, and bring fresh thinking to the table
  • Ability to present to colleagues / non-subject matter experts on Compensation and/or other Total Rewards topics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including presentation skills (i.e., MS PowerPoint).
  • A strong communicator, compelling storyteller, and influencer with the ability to gain support and sponsorship from a variety of stakeholders
  • Being a team player with strong relationship-building skills, who interacts easily with clients and builds and leverages strong internal networks to get the job done
  • A commitment to continual learning – developing new skills, taking on new responsibilities and broadening your knowledge through research
  • The confidence, knowledge, and professionalism to work directly with executive-level client leadership to understand their needs and present our work
  • A strong academic record with strong technical skills, including MS Excel

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $52,000 to $86,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
