The Director, Global Procurement Professional Services is responsible for a team of 6- 8 resources who will be providing end-to-end strategic/high value/high risk Procurement services for the Professional Services category. This includes, but is not limited to, developing and implementing the category strategy and executing plans for sub-categories related to all Professional Services commodities. (i.e.: ADAM, Contingent labour, business process outsourcing, marketing, event services and more)

This role will lead category planning, portfolio management, sourcing, negotiating the contractual terms and conditions, service levels, and pricing for a range of agreements (e.g., MSAs, PSAs, SOWs, etc.) ensuring all regulatory, legal, financial and risk management requirements are met.


What you will do

  • Leads and develops and/or refreshes and implements the category strategy and annual plans for all services categories/commodities (sub-categories including Application Development and Application Maintenance, Contingent Labor, Business Process Outsourcing, and miscellaneous services like marketing services, writing services, videographers, etc.) ensuring alignment with the goals, strategies and value proposition of Global Procurement and business requirements
  • Is the primary relationship manager with the stakeholders and manages the client demand planning and reporting for the Professional Services category, develops strong relationships to manage current procurement portfolio with stakeholders and strategize on future procurement needs related to assigned categories.
  • Is the strategic lead delivering strategic/high risk/complex sourcing projects for assigned categories (requests for proposals strategy, definition, and execution as well as contract negotiation at all levels).
  • Maintains ongoing, productive relationships and is the primary supplier relationship manager for major suppliers in assigned categories.
  • Manages and monitors the entire portfolio of procurement activity for all Professional Services categories.
  • Leads a team of up to eight (8) individuals by providing input and feedback in terms of workload assignment, managing job accountabilities (including deliverable and outcome management), annual goals and performance management, and ongoing development, coaching and mentoring.

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in working in a procurement function delivering category and sourcing activities
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 12 years of equivalent work experience
  • Subject matter expert or industry expert in professional services categories (including Application Development and Application Maintenance (ADAM), contingent labor, business process outsourcing, marketing services, event planning, photographers/videographers, and general business services).
  • A proven track record of negotiating large, complex, multi-jurisdictional enterprise services agreements (scope, commercial, and legal aspects), with leading service providers preferably in the contingent labor and/or other professional services (business process outsourcing, other services) category.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles, processes, strategies and best practices.
  • Proven successful experience managing in a complex, matrix organization.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
