Overview

At KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause: turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.

This role sits within a newly established, internally focused AI Enablement function designed to accelerate responsible, scalable adoption of AI across Risk Services.

The Consultant will focus on hands-on development and enablement, supporting the design, build and adoption of internal AI capabilities. This is an internal enablement role with some support to client sales and delivery. Success is measured by capability uplift, adoption, and practical impact across the practice.


What you will do

AI Development

  • Build, test and enhance reusable AI components, prototypes and internal accelerators
  • Develop solutions using Python and modern AI/ML frameworks
  • Support AI-enabled workflows involving LLMs, analytics and automation
  • Assist with integrating AI capabilities into existing data, analytics and automation platforms

Enablement & Adoption

  • Support AI Champions and practitioners across service lines with prioritized use cases
  • Contribute to training sessions, demos, labs and hackathons using practical examples
  • Provide hands-on guidance to emerging developers
  • Translate AI concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical audiences
  • Help create and maintain internal documentation, examples and learning materials

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Work closely with Risk Services teams, Lighthouse and the KPMG AI Lab where applicable
  • Support the AI Enablement Lead in roadmap planning and prioritization
  • Track and communicate adoption, reuse and impact of AI capabilities
  • Gather feedback from users to help refine tools and approaches
  • Stay current on emerging AI tools and practices and share learnings with the team

What you bring to the role

Core Experience

  • New graduate to 4 years of experience in analytics, software development or AI-related roles
  • Academic, internship or professional experience building technical solutions
  • Strong Python development experience required

AI & Data Exposure

  • Exposure to AI/ML tools and platforms such as:
    • OpenAI / Azure OpenAI
    • Databricks, Azure ML or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows
  • Basic understanding of data pipelines, ETL and data quality considerations

Enablement Mindset

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-evolving problem spaces
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply
  • Interest in teaching, enablement and building communities of practice
  • Collaborative and open to feedback

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
