Overview

KPMG Language Services in Montreal is looking to fill a translator position for their external translation team (financial documents and others). This is a permanent, full-time remote position.

The candidate must have at least three years of experience in translation, primarily in the fields of accounting and finance, within a structured professional environment or at an accounting firm. What you will do

  • Translate various financial documents from English to French, including financial statements, management reports, management’s discussion and analysis of fund performance, and sustainability reports.
  • Conduct terminology research and contribute to the team’s terminology database.
  • Meet deadlines and adhere to high quality standards.
  • Manage large-scale projects.
  • Collaborate with team members.
  • Maximize the use of tools and engage in continuous learning.

What you bring to the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation or equivalent diploma
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
• Excellent capacity for learning
• Great research skills
• Strong sense of quality and customer service
• Attention to detail
• Ability to manage stress and pressure
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team
• Project management ability
• Good knowledge of technical tools
• Autonomy and flexibility
• Openness, frankness and clarity in communications
• Advanced knowledge of translation tools (LogiTerm,
Trados/Studio, Systran), an asset
• Member of OTTIAQ or an equivalent organization, an asset

The selected candidate must demonstrate excellent proficiency in both French and English, with the ability to translate complex financial documents while adhering to KPMG’s high quality standards, and collaborate effectively with a diverse team in a structured professional environment working on English-language files.
