What you will do
Our Winnipeg office is seeking finance and/or accounting students to join the team as a co-op/intern hire in Winter 2026 or Summer 2026 as a part of our Corporate Finance practice, through which we offer independent investment banking and other financial advisory services.
Our Corporate Finance Team
As a member of the Corporate Finance team at KPMG, working in multi-disciplinary teams, you will apply your professional and technical skills to a wide variety of transactions and at different stages of the transaction process. The successful candidates’ exposure may include (among other activities):
- Supporting the development of financial models, analysis of EBITDA, working capital and other financial metrics, as well as qualitative assessments, of companies across various industries.
- Performing market research and analyzing publicly available market information (i.e. public company pricing multiples, precedent transaction analysis, industry and company specific research, etc.).
- Assisting in identification and research of potential acquisition targets, purchasers and/or investors, as applicable.
- Contributing to the preparation and distribution of confidential information memorandums as part of sell-side divestiture processes and other key transaction materials.
- Supporting the preparation of presentations and analysis in the delivery of client mandates.
- Playing a role with proactive business development and deal initiation activities (i.e., pitches and proposals).
Through KPMG Corporate Finance Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of KPMG LLP and the OSC regulated market dealer through which KPMG LLP’s independent investment banking services are provided in Canada, KPMG’s corporate finance services include buy-side and sell-side financial advisory, financing services including raising debt and equity capital, valuation/pricing analysis and due diligence support. The successful candidate will participate in a wide range of Corporate Finance assignments involving local, national, and international clients of the firm.
