What you will do
Our Toronto office is seeking undergraduate students to join the team as a Co-op or Summer Intern in Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 as a part of our Risk Services practice.
Our Governance, Risk and Compliance Services Team
As part of KPMG’s Governance, Risk & Compliance Services team, you will be working with professionals experienced in financial and operational internal auditing, internal controls, risk based analytics, risk assessments, IT risk, and emerging risk areas to augment and enhance an organization's existing internal control, enterprise risk management, governance, and internal audit capabilities.
You will be working alongside executives, internal audit directors, and audit and risk committees to develop and deliver quality governance functions that deliver strategic business assurance, identify business opportunities and enhance organizational value. You will be:
- Helping Clients Improve Their Business: You will assist organizations with the delivery of specialized business process reviews / enablement, internal audits, internal control assessments, performance assessments, and regulatory compliance projects. This can range from simple process reviews to complex technology implementation / enablement.
- Helping Grow KPMG: You will assist with business development efforts including proposals, marketing material, and internal and external presentations
- Working Together: You will work with cross-functional teams comprised of diverse backgrounds and skill sets to execute on various projects. Our GRCS practice is a multi-disciplinary Advisory function that works across the organization (from Management Consulting, Deals Advisory, Technology Implementation and Transaction Services) to provide our clients with the best solutions.
- Gain experience in the use of analytical and other technology tools such as AI: You will have opportunities to utilize the latest and advanced tools and techniques as part of your role, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, to further enhance your role and add value to our clients.
- Learning on the Job: You will learn the ins-and-outs of various businesses across different industries (e.g. Financial Services, Public Sector, Mining, Technology). Accelerate your growth and acumen as a business professional – no one engagement can be the same. Participate in KPMG’s engagement teams
The GRCS practice has the following four industry groups:
- Consumer & Technology: Retail, iGaming, technology, manufacturing, cannabis and more.
- Financial Services: Banking, Insurance, Private Equity, Pensions and more.
- Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare (Public Sector): Hospitals, government agencies, education institutions, transportation and more.
- Energy and Natural Resources: Hydro, Natural Gas, Mining and more.

What you bring to the role

- Current or graduating university student with a major in Accounting, Finance, Business, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience (we welcome students pursuing a CPA and those who are not).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to achieve personal and professional success while juggling competing priorities and deadlines.
- Highly motivated student who strives for excellence, innovation and collaboration.
- Bilingual in English and French would be an asset.
