The opportunity

EY’s Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice is an advisory unit that provides risk management support to banks, insurers and asset managers. Our team includes individuals who have industry, client and product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals. We are seeking a Manager and Senior Manager to join our team. Along with our team, you'll work together to coordinate the delivery of risk management, regulatory and business performance services to a variety of clients, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance and energy trading companies, and other organizations.

Your key responsibilities

The role of IRM Solutions Enablement Manager or Senior Manager includes collaborating with other members of the engagement team to assess, select, design, implement and roll-out integrated risk management (IRM) solutions.

The Manager or Senior Manager will be responsible for engagement oversight and delivery; team management and coaching; engagement execution; engagement economics and reporting, as well as developing and maintaining productive relationships with clients. They will also be involved in practice development initiatives ranging from business development to staff and team development.

The end-to-end IRM implementation services include, but are not limited to the below:

  • Assisting with vendor selections for IRM solution enablement
  • Designing and evaluating GRC programs, performing current state assessments, and developing future state designs
  • Assisting clients with GRC process re-engineering and enhancements to existing tools
  • IRM platform implementation across the Software Development Lifecycle (i.e., requirements gathering, use case development, foundational elements definition, design and architecture, configuration, testing and production rollout)
  • IRM software integration (i.e., understanding of integration architecture and options such as ETL, Web-API and others)
  • Developing IRM governance and operating models
  • IRM Managed Services which include application support, maintenance and implementing enhancements in a post-production environment

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to ask probing questions to identify client opportunities
  • Possess strong communication, presentation and technical writing skills to describe ideas, concepts and issues that involve interpretation, analysis and assessment of complex conceptual topics
  • Willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs


To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • University degree required in finance, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • IRM Solutions Expertise: Hands on implementation experience and/or certification in at least one of the following platforms: RSA Archer, ServiceNow, IBM OpenPages, Metric Stream
  • Exposure to both Waterfall and Agile methodologies of Software development
  • Understanding of best practices for IT risk management, internal audit, vendor risk management, SOX, information security, and OpRisk processes (including risk assessments, risk metrics and dashboarding)
  • Knowledge of risk convergence, IT risk and control framework design, and integrated operational risk management projects.
  • Knowledge of authoritative sources or standards such as CobIT, ISO 27001 & 27002, PCI, GLBA and others
  • Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork and client service skills
  • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment or comparable experience working as an advisor to financial services companies
  • Demonstrated project or engagement management ability to plan and execute projects/engagements to a successful conclusion


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Possess a self-starting attitude, an ability to think outside the box and thrive on new challenges
  • Bilingual skills in French and English
