We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join our Finance Transformation, Government and Public Sector team in Ottawa.
From strategy to execution, the Government & Public Sector practice of EY provides a full range of consulting and broader services to help CFOs and Finance organizations improve their performance, deliver long term value and digitally transform their organization to improve service delivery.
Some of our solutions include
- Digital Finance: use technology, operating model, and talent to digitize end-to-end processes, provide timely insights and improve the partnership with the business
- Value and Performance Management: design and adopt data-driven performance management, enabled by timely and predictive insights. This includes planning, forecasting and analytics processes, organizational models, talent, and systems to drive long term value
- Global Business Services: transform corporate functions and operations into agile business services to increase efficiency through lean, measurable/touchless end-to-end processes, and effectiveness through insights/analytics that inform better decisions
The opportunity
Public sector Finance organizations need to be more responsive, insightful and efficient. Governments are seeking to improve business partnering between Finance and the business, standardize and automate, doing so while building agility and enhanced quality into processes by combining process improvement and advanced and innovative technology building new skills within Finance.
To strengthen our growing team, we currently looking for a true team player with a strong work ethic and a good understanding of Finance processes and activities in government and public sector organizations.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Transformation Consultant at EY, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the financial landscape of our clients' organizations. Your work will span across processes, systems, and people to develop solutions that drive value across the organization.
As a member of the Finance Transformation Team, you are expected to:
- Deliver finance transformation projects successfully – on-time ad on-budget with a focus on the client experience
- Lead and support pursuits and practice development initiatives
- Stay abreast of industry and sector trends
- As an influential member of the team, you will continue to foster a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop
Ideally, you’ll have
- For a Manager, a minimum of 5 years’ experience with a professional services firm and/or within the Government of Canada, along with a successful track record in the Finance/Payroll space
- For Senior Manager a minimum of 10 years’ experience with a professional services firm and/or within the Government of Canada, along with a successful track record in the Finance/Payroll space
- Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Government of Canada Security clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in government and public sector and understanding of the Government of Canada’s Financial and Pay policies is an asset
- Bilingualism in both, French and English languages is an asset
