Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team as Associate Director – Financial Services PR Lead and you will directly support and promote our brand and reputation. Job Summary:
As Associate Director, Financial Services – Public Relations (PR) Lead, you'll develop and execute external communications strategies and campaigns to support business priorities and promote EY's image in the market. This role will support the EY Financial Services practice and help the firm gain positive exposure, support the brand and visibility of our Financial Services leaders and create business opportunities. In this role, you'll lead independently, and interact frequently with the firm's leaders, marketing team, public policy, and general counsel’s office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with EY management, to understand business objectives, and establish PR programs that promote the firm, our Financial Services Organization and its leaders
- Develop public relations plans, including media relations and social media initiatives and support EY's public sponsorships and events
- Build positive relationships with journalists (television, radio, magazine and newspaper) to gain positive exposure for the firm, which should lead to business opportunities
- Promote EY through media briefings, news releases, conferences, round tables and articles
- Manage the external PR agency supporting the Financial Services Organization, including time and budget management, conceptualizing creative program strategies, co-creating position, messaging and talking point content, and facilitating execution of program plan and key campaigns
- Analyze appropriate communications channels, to build awareness of the firm's key messages
- Gain a good understanding of the firm's practice area
- Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
To qualify, candidates must have:
- Expert in media and social media engagement
- Supervisory skills, including delegating, coaching, defining expectations, etc.
- Excellent project management, client service, team-building and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proficient with standard technology including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and internet
- A minimum of 7 years related experience
- Bachelor's degree; Masters degree preferred
