What you will do
Indirect Transaction Tax services focus on the income/franchise and indirect tax aspects of tax due diligence and structuring, bankruptcy and restructurings, as well as pre- and post-transaction integrations.
As an Intern on the Indirect Transactions team, your role will include:
Performing due diligence, including review of tax returns, financials, and other documentation to identify and quantify potential state income and non-income tax risks.
Researching complex tax issues and developing quality, practical tax approaches.
Contributing to client satisfaction by promptly and effectively responding to client needs and concerns.
Participating in client meetings and working within teams to deliver fully integrated services.
Actively strengthening your tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments.
Developing and delivering timely, high-quality services and work products.
Job requirements and preferences
Required qualifications
A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, International Business or a related field; or an advanced degree in Tax or Law.
A strong academic record including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Preferred qualifications
