POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a data‑driven Product Owner, Marketing Automation to join our Growth Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operational marketing data and email enablement, with accountability for data quality, backlog priorities, and delivery outcomes.
You will manage and prioritize a backlog for IT developers, data stewards, and marketing operations; translate business needs into clear user stories; and partner closely with IT to deliver within Agile/Kanban frameworks. The role includes optimizing operational marketing data, improving marketing automation workflows, managing defects and UAT, and driving continuous improvement across data, automation, and delivery processes.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Act as Product Owner for operational marketing data and email enablement, owning the backlog, priorities, and delivery outcomes for this domain.
Own, structure, and actively manage a prioritized backlog serving IT developers, data stewards, and marketing operations, ensuring clarity of scope, sequencing, and dependencies.
Triage, qualify, and prioritize incoming requests related to operational marketing data, email operations, and automation, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and data governance.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and requirements, ensuring they are ready for development and aligned with architectural and data standards.
Partner closely with IT delivery teams and data stewards to plan work, clarify requirements, manage trade‑offs, and support efficient execution within Agile / Kanban frameworks.
Identify, implement, and monitor improvements to enhance the quality, consistency, and usability of operational marketing data.
Track, document, and prioritize defects within marketing automation platforms; collaborate with IT and technical teams to drive resolution and perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
Design, implement, and continuously optimize automated marketing workflows aligned with business objectives and seamless CRM integration.
Identify optimization opportunities across marketing automation, data operations, and delivery processes, and lead execution of improvement plans.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Proven experience in marketing automation and operational data analysis.
Hands‑on experience with platforms such as Eloqua, SAP Marketing Cloud, Customer Insights, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, or similar tools.
Experience managing backlogs and working within Kanban or Agile delivery frameworks.
Strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Detail‑oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Experience working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP) (asset).
Experience or knowledge of the financial services, entrepreneurship, or B2B environment (asset).
Technical skills such as HTML, SQL, CSS, JavaScript (asset).
Bilingual (French and English).
