POSITION OVERVIEW
The Client Partner, Small and Medium Business, BDC Advisory Services, plays a key role in the development, support and delivery of solutions that will contribute to the development of Canadian small and medium enterprises. In this role, the incumbent works closely with the business development and internal management teams of Advisory Services.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Manage a portfolio of consulting projects and ensure proper execution including scope, budget, schedule, deliverables, and quality assurance control of projects.
Provide sales support for Small Business Solutions and Essentials to the business development teams. To this end, maintain regular communication with the Business Center Managers to help them support their team and perform various activities according to the needs of the teams, such as organizing training activities, participating in team and individual meetings, presenting content at conferences, etc.
Liaise with various stakeholders to help identify solutions to meet the needs and challenges of entrepreneurs.
Work closely with the network of external consultants responsible for delivery to ensure smooth and quality delivery.
Identify the need for external resources, assist in the recruitment and ensure the training and development of these resources.
Act as a resource person for BDC Advisory Services to assist the financing teams in meeting client needs and managing the client experience including complaint handling.
Contribute to the development of awareness of Advisory Services by helping to promote the offer to the internal network and also during various events or on social networks.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related discipline. An MBA or professional designation is an asset.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, client portfolio management, consulting services, or any combination of equivalent relevant experience.
Demonstrated understanding of the business environment and ecosystem surrounding small and medium-sized businesses and the ability to detect business needs and identify relevant solutions to address those issues.
Proven ability to manage and execute standardized consulting projects.
Excellent communication skills, relationship building and ability to facilitate content in front of an audience, participate in outreach, promotion and business development activities.
Team player and collaborative.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
Travel within a limited geographic area and occasionally elsewhere in Canada as required.
