POSITION OVERVIEW

BDC's IT department is in the midst of a digital transformation. To support this evolution and meet the bank's technological needs, the Office of IT Performance is looking for an IT Asset Management Specialist, with enhanced expertise in the management of these asset manufacturers. Reporting to the Manager, IT Assets and Supplier Performance, you will be responsible for optimizing the value, cost and compliance of technology assets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring strategic management of relationships with manufacturers.

Your portfolio will include any IT asset, hardware or software, used within the BDC's technology infrastructure to store, process, transmit or manage digital information and data. You will also be a key player in the implementation of ServiceNow for ITAM and the future CMDB, participating in the development of digital workflows and the definition of the admissions and application processes. You will support teams in the operationalization and lifecycle management of goods, services, contracts and suppliers, while promoting modernization, automation and technological consolidation.

In addition to your traditional responsibilities, you will proactively manage manufacturers of IT assets, including the selection, negotiation, monitoring of contracts, compliance and evaluation of manufacturers' performance, in order to guarantee quality, safety and innovation within the BDC's technology portfolio.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Define the HAM roadmap for the future mode of operation, integrating manufacturer management and relying on standard methodologies.

  • Prepare and present cases to employees to achieve the objectives outlined in the roadmap, including issues related to manufacturers.

  • Lead the implementation of the new HAM framework, ensuring the integration of manufacturers' management processes.

  • Develop proactive processes for effective IT asset management, ensuring accurate representation of assets in BDC's DEGTI tools, including ownership, financial data, asset status, and manufacturer information.

  • Collaborate with the Software Asset Management team, Enterprise Security, Financial Asset Management, Architecture, Business Units, and Manufacturers to ensure consistent and compliant management of IT assets.

  • Maintain a global view of expenses related to the support of technological assets, by integrating the management of maintenance contracts, warranties and relations with manufacturers.

  • Develop and promote effective strategies, policies and practices for IT asset management, integrating manufacturers' requirements and best practices.

  • Identify and report violations of the ITAM policy, track corrective actions and report on the remediation of risks related to technology assets and manufacturers.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, identifying and escalating data quality issues to appropriate managers , including those related to manufacturers.

  • Collect and analyze data on all activities impacting the value, cost, and risk of IT asset lifecycles , including interactions with manufacturers.

  • Provide finance with the data needed to analyze project and maintenance budgets for IT assets, as well as to allocate and allocate costs related to manufacturers.

  • Ensure that ITAM/HAM tools and services are properly evaluated, selected, implemented and maintained, with appropriate integration of manufacturer data.

  • Leverage ITAM tools to improve hardware asset management and identify opportunities for continuous improvement, particularly in collaboration with manufacturers.

  • Assist the internal audit team in defining controls based on the new framework, incorporating manufacturers' requirements.

  • Manage the relationship with the manufacturers of IT assets: monitoring contracts, warranties, renewals, compliance and performance.

  • Participate in the selection of manufacturers for the acquisition of new assets, in collaboration with the procurement and architecture teams.

  • Regularly assess the manufacturer market to identify opportunities for innovation, consolidation or cost reduction.

  • Implement performance indicators (KPIs) specific to manufacturers: availability rate, response time, quality of support, compliance with SLAs.

  • Participate in manufacturers' audits and performance reviews, related to risk management and regulatory compliance.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Senior IT professional with at least 10 years of in-depth knowledge and experience in IT including the proactive management of manufacturers of these IT assets.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in IT operations, hardware and software asset lifecycle management, as well as supplier and manufacturer relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing ITAM/HAM systems and tools (such as ServiceNow and CMDB), negotiating and monitoring contracts, and evaluating manufacturer performance

  • Previous roles in ITAM (hardware or software) or demonstrable experience working with IT asset management professionals to provide ITAM capability and improve business outcomes.

  • Experience leading the implementation of systems or tools, with responsibility for verifying the capabilities, outputs, dependencies and scope of implementation.

  • Strategic Thinking — An understanding of strategic business objectives and the ability to develop a vision and strategy for ITAM and execute it effectively to drive results towards those goals.

  • The profile is distinguished by his or her ability to develop strategies, lead digital transformation projects, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Interpersonal Skills – Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence people at all levels in a matrix management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure segregated and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated.

  • Strategic Vision — Ability to sense emerging needs and drive change as ITAM grows and matures to meet organizational and technological challenges.

  • Proactive, interactive, tenacious, and persistent that can drive both technical specialists and local management.

  • Problem solving, good judgment, ability to evaluate, reason, improvise and recommend solutions to problems.

  • Results-oriented: Completes assigned activities within agreed upon timeframes, able to recognize priorities and achieve results.

  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key business and technical concepts and then effectively communicate those concepts with technical staff, business stakeholders, and senior management.

  • Bilingual oral and written (English and French).

  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong analytical, financial and accounting, data processing and problem-solving skills.

  • The successful candidate demonstrates rigor, autonomy, analytical skills and organizational skills, while being results-oriented and continuous improvement

  • Mastery of formulation and process improvement.

The following certifications are considered desirable, but not mandatory:

o ITIL Foundation Certification

o Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)

o ServiceNow Asset Management Enterprise or Pro

o Familiar with IT asset discovery tools
