Toronto Metropolitan University is reshaping the downtown core of Toronto with three new buildings: the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, the Toronto Metropolitan University Image Centre in the heart of campus, and a Student Learning Centre on Yonge Street. In addition, currently in progress is the development of a new multipurpose building, the Church Street development (CSD). This new building will be located just north of Dundas on Church Street and will be home to four academic health services programs, Toronto Met. University food services, administration, and a student residence.

• 1st Year Masters, 2nd Year Masters or PhD: social work, policy, or related fields.
• Completed at least one Canadian policy-related course
• Relevant experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in policy-related issues (e.g., through practicum, professional work, community activism, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of learning management systems (e.g., D2L) or willing to learn
  • Familiar with key concepts in social welfare, critical theory, and social justice frameworks
  • Demonstrated understanding of Canada’s colonial history, Indigenous sovereignty, resistance and resurgence
  • Familiar with assessing and offering timely and thoughtful feedback on students' work.
  • Comfort in managing an ongoing rolling marking queue rather than one-time bulk grading

This is primarily a marking TAship from September to December, with heaviest availability needed in mid October to December.
