Toronto Metropolitan University is reshaping the downtown core of Toronto with three new buildings: the Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, the Toronto Metropolitan University Image Centre in the heart of campus, and a Student Learning Centre on Yonge Street. In addition, currently in progress is the development of a new multipurpose building, the Church Street development (CSD). This new building will be located just north of Dundas on Church Street and will be home to four academic health services programs, Toronto Met. University food services, administration, and a student residence.

Overall academic performance at B+ (3.3 GPA) or above.
Must have completed course with B+ (3.3 GPA) or above grade level.
Previous evaluation of performance as an Assistant at the University (if applicable).

Position #2 – Grading midterm exams and final exams (83 hours)

Grading midterm exams: 43 hours

Grading final exams: 40 hours

Responsibilities

The candidate is expected to:

(1) manually grade and review midterm exams (Nov. 2-13, 2026) and final exams (Dec. 10-23, 2026).

(2) assess student performance and provide summary and constructive report in written form to the students and the Professor.

(3) assist in preparing exams and other teaching related tasks.

Qualifications

1. The candidates should show a high level of knowledge in management accounting.

2. The candidates will be required to write/answer a short exam or case, and develop and present a management accounting problem during the interview. The candidates will be assessed for their level of knowledge in management accounting based on their performance at the interview.

3. The candidates should have obtained an undergraduate degree in accounting or is enrolled in the 4th year of TMU Accounting undergraduate program or higher. Enrollment in CPA or CPA PEP program and/or a Canadian CPA designation is preferred.

4. The candidates should have overall academic performance at B+ (3.3 GPA) or above. The candidates also should have completed Introductory Management Accounting course AND Intermediate Management Accounting Course with B+ (3.3 GPA) or above within the most recent 5 years. An unofficial transcript is required as a proof of taking the above two courses.

5. The candidate should be available for grading the midterm exams during Nov. 2-13, 2026, as well as for grading the final exams during Dec. 10-23, 2026.
