TMU welcomes those who have demonstrated a commitment to upholding the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion and will assist us in realizing the benefits of embedding these values into the work at every level and in every unit of the university. In addition, to correct the conditions of disadvantage in employment in Canada and to bring lived experiences to the work, we encourage applications from members of equity deserving groups that have been historically disadvantaged and marginalized, including First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples in Canada, First Nations Peoples in the United States, racialized people, Black people, persons with disabilities, women, and 2SLGBTQ+ people.
Preference will be given to candidates with lived experiences as people from equity deserving groups, as well as experience working with these communities with which the University works every day. Please note that all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply and we welcome newcomers and immigrants to Canada. In April 2022, the university announced its new name of Toronto Metropolitan University. Learn more about our next chapter.
The team
The Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (TRSM) is developing collaborative, creative leaders who will drive 21st century business forward while making a positive impact on society. Home to 13,000+ students and more than 250 industry-connected faculty, TRSM is Canada's leading diverse, entrepreneurial business school centred in an urban learning environment. TRSM offers three Bachelor of Commerce degrees, one Bachelor of Health Administration degree, the Ted Rogers MBA, a Professional Masters Diploma in Accounting, Executive Education courses, a Masters of Science in Management, a Master of Health Administration in Community Care, and a PhD in Management. TRSM is also home to 18 innovative research centres, institutes, and labs.
The Graduate Programs team is dedicated exclusively to supporting TRSM's portfolio of graduate programs and the students who pursue them. The team leads and supports the full graduate student journey—from recruitment, marketing, admissions, and enrolment through to student engagement, career development, awards, events, and program administration. Working closely with academic Directors, faculty, and university partners, the team plays a central role in attracting exceptional domestic and international students, delivering an outstanding graduate student experience, and advancing the strategic growth and reputation of TRSM's graduate programs.
Who will be the next generation of business leaders? As part of the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) graduate programs team—Canada's largest business school—you'll play a pivotal role in recruiting exceptional students to all of TRSM's graduate programs, engaging prospective students across Canada and around the world, and helping them see their future at TMU. Working closely with academic Directors and program leaders, you'll develop and lead innovative graduate recruitment, marketing, and admissions strategies that attract high-caliber students across TRSM's portfolio of graduate programs and help turn their aspirations into meaningful careers.
In this strategic and highly collaborative role, you'll shape how prospective graduate students experience TRSM from their first point of engagement through the admissions journey. You'll lead integrated graduate recruitment and marketing initiatives that showcase the distinctive strengths of TRSM's graduate programs, build awareness in competitive domestic and international markets, develop prospective student pipelines, and inspire high-caliber candidates to choose TMU. You'll work closely with program teams to understand enrolment priorities and translate them into targeted recruitment strategies, campaigns, events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives that drive applications and support enrolment goals across the full graduate portfolio.
You'll also oversee the graduate admissions and recruitment unit's systems, processes, policies, and practices, continuously looking for smarter and more effective ways to improve the prospective graduate student experience and strengthen recruitment outcomes. Using data, market insights, and sophisticated analytics, you'll monitor recruitment performance across programs and markets, identify emerging trends and opportunities, and translate insights into strategies that strengthen enrolment, enhance TRSM's graduate profile, and position the School for continued growth.
This includes representing TRSM at graduate recruitment events across Canada, meeting directly with prospective students, and leading and participating in recruitment tours and other outreach activities. You'll also develop and train staff and graduate ambassadors to effectively represent TRSM's graduate programs at recruitment events and provide prospective students with an engaging, informed, and consistent experience. As Manager, you'll provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentorship, and performance management for a growing recruitment team, including two new recruitment staff. You'll set clear priorities and expectations, allocate recruitment portfolios and activities, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture. Working closely with program Directors and leaders, you'll ensure the team is aligned on enrolment priorities and equipped to effectively recruit for both established programs and new graduate programs as they launch. You'll play a key role in building recruitment capacity, developing team expertise, and establishing effective processes and practices that support the continued growth of TRSM's graduate portfolio.
This is an opportunity to do more than recruit students. You'll help build the community of future business leaders who will shape organizations, industries, and society.
If you're energized by connecting ambitious people with transformative educational opportunities, thrive in a competitive environment, and want your work to have a visible impact on the future of business, this is an opportunity to make your mark at TRSM.
