The Team
Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst (Catalyst) empowers individuals and organizations to seize the opportunities and tackle the challenges of cybersecurity. Through our groundbreaking training and certification programs; unique commercial acceleration programs for cybersecurity start-ups and scale-ups; first-of-its-kind cyber range; wide-ranging public education programs; and influential policy interventions, the Catalyst helps drive Canada’s global competitiveness in cybersecurity.The Catalyst is a not-for-profit corporation owned and operated by Toronto Metropolitan University and based in Brampton, ON. Hybrid work schedule with expectations of weekly days in the Brampton offices.
The Catalyst is looking for a Project Lead with a talent for driving clarity, alignment, and progress across complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Focused on cybersecurity and related special projects, this role oversees the full project lifecycle - from planning and financial tracking to execution and reporting. You’ll coordinate efforts across diverse teams, support project managers with new and ongoing initiatives, and ensure priorities are communicated and met. With a strong grasp of both the big picture and the moving parts, you’ll also manage relationships with stakeholders and funders, and support the rollout of related communications and marketing elements.
Key responsibilities includes:
- Manages large and complex projects from planning through implementation, ensuring deliverables, milestones, and timelines are met across multi-functional teams.
- Supports community and program outreach, participant recruitment, and the implementation of community programs and initiatives.
- Creates and enforces project tracking, reporting, and risk mitigation processes to support effective coordination, communication, and issue resolution.
- Tracks project budgets in collaboration with Finance, reviews and approves expenses, and oversees contracts and invoicing for vendors.
- Maintains strong communication with stakeholders and funders, facilitates meetings, and supports project-related marketing activities in coordination with internal teams.
Qualifications

- Completion of a post-secondary degree, preferably in business administration or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project coordination role, preferably in business development/operations or managing complex projects.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience creating engaging presentations with a variety of software programs.
- Project management including financial management skills.
- Experience with supporting new program development and program evaluation an asset.
- Effective oral communications, project reporting and writing skills, with the ability to facilitate client and team meetings.
- Marketing and relationship-building skills.
- Event management skills.
- Strong coordination and management skills with the ability to build and motivate teams to meet set goals while meeting budgets and schedules.
- Strong financial and management skills with the ability to draft budget proposals, forecast expenses, monitor relevant research, and contract accounts.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and ability to manage change.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to be on site (Brampton) 2 days per week, can change depending on operational needs.
