This is an outside sales role that requires a proactive and strategic approach to achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting and selling a portfolio of high-quality products in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers and home centre partners to drive long-term business growth.
- Identifying and qualifying potential sales opportunities within the designated territory.
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets through effective prospecting, client engagement, and solution-based selling.
- Conducting market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.
- Delivering product presentations and training to clients, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of offerings and value propositions.
- Providing accurate forecasting, tracking performance metrics, and reporting in a timely manner.
- Out in the field in meetings 4 days/week with 1 day working from home.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably within the cabinetry or building materials industry.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex solutions effectively.
- A solid understanding of construction industry practices, including specifications and standards.
- A background in design or architecture (an asset but not required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on relationship management.
- A disciplined approach to prioritizing multiple accounts and managing time effectively.
- A self-motivated, results-driven attitude with strong prospecting skills.
- Valid G drivers license - you need to be a road warrior!
- A competitive compensation package, including a salary of $70,000 - $80,000 and performance-based incentives (20%+).
