Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site a minimum of three days per week. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

Intent of the process

Our intent is to staff positions within the following regions : Vancouver (British Columbia), Saskatoon (Saskatchewan), Winnipeg (Manitoba) and St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador). However, various locations may also be considered in anticipation of future needs.

This advertised process is ๐€๐๐“๐ˆ๐‚๐ˆ๐๐€๐“๐Ž๐‘๐˜ and a pool of partially* or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions at PSPC with various tenures (term ๐Ž๐‘ indeterminate), language requirements and/๐Ž๐‘ security clearance requirements (reliability ๐Ž๐‘ secret), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

*Partially qualified simply means that the candidates will be deemed qualified except for the linguistic and security profiles which will be evaluated at a later date should the candidate be considered for an appointment.

โ‡ฐ Graduation from a two-year program of study at a recognized post-secondary institution, with an acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management, or another field relevant to the position being staffed

1.Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2.Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience.
