Duties
The immediate need is to staff one EC-02 junior analyst in the Digital Services Branch (DSB) Policy Team. We are digital policy experts, advisors and analysts who support and guide the department, the Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and designated officials for Cyber and Service. We are the first point of contact in all digital policy requests within the department, as well as the lead DSB representatives for Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus).
The DSB Policy Team focuses on service and digital policy, under the functional authority of the PSPC CIO. We follow the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) guidance, as directed by the Government of Canada’s CIO.
The responsibilities of the Junior Analyst include (but are not limited to):
- Participating in various meetings and committees across PSPC, with other departments and/or agencies.
- Attending events, working groups, and training on behalf of the policy team, and sharing relevant information.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholder groups across PSPC and external to PSPC.
- Conducting research and analysis to support service and digital policy or program development activities.
- Drafting correspondence, presentations, and briefing notes.
- Provide oral and written briefings to senior management
- Note-taking in meetings
- Collaborating with colleagues on shared files
- Supporting senior colleagues as needed

🎓 ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
An indeterminate incumbent of a former ES position on June 30, 1967 who became an EC on June 22, 2009, who does not possess the minimum level of education as indicated for Part A above is deemed to meet this minimum educational standard based on his/her education, training and/or experience.

❶ Experience conducting research and analysis and synthesizing information from a variety of sources.
❷ Experience in participating in the development of presentations, briefing material or reports.
❸ Experience providing services to clients.

Preference
