Duties

Provides accounting, budget monitoring/reporting services, information and advice, and general administrative services in multiple functional areas.

🎓EDUCATION
• Graduation with a diploma from a recognized college in a related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Degree equivalency

💼EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in a fast paced office environment;
• Experience in word processing, spreadsheet software and database systems;
• Experience in providing support in general administrative services;
• Experience in the management of human resources;
• Experience using an integrated financial management system for material management and reporting (such as SAP);
.• Experience providing financial support services, which includes tracking expenditures and budgets; verifying and coding financial transactions; entering financial data; providing payable services; and managing purchases and materials;
• Experience in preparing, monitoring and reviewing financial documents.

• Experience applying policies, regulations, and directives related to financial and administrative services (such as the Financial Administration Act and the Treasury Board Policy Suite);
• Experience working in Business Intelligence Tool (BI);
• Experience in providing advice and recommendations to various audiences, such as clients and management;
• Experience in working on housing and travel files in the North.

💡KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of policies, acts, and guidelines related to the procurement of goods and services within the Government of Canada;
• Knowledge of the Financial Administration Act;
• Knowledge of the National Joint Council Isolated Posts and Government Housing Directive;
• Knowledge of policies, acts, and guidelines related to the procurement of goods and services within the Government of Canada.

📌OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•Willingness to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment;
•Willingness to work from various locations as required;
•Willingness to travel, including overnight, off site and/or weekends.
