Duties
Provides clerical and administrative/operational support services and related information/guidance, typically in support of a specific function or a program area in a field unit.

Parks Canada Agency is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

🎓EDUCATION
• A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.
📌EXPERIENCE
• Experience in the provision of administrative support services to internal clients and the public;
• Experience working in finance/administration (accounts payable/receivables, purchasing and information management);
• Experience in using e-mail, internet and standard office software (e.g. Word and Excel);
• Experience in maintaining electronic or hard copy filing systems;
• Experience handling requests for information and services from internal and external clients by phone, email or in person.

🎓EDUCATION
• Completion of approved post-secondary training in a finance or administrative related field (Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, Commerce, Human Resources etc.) or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
📌EXPERIENCE:
• Experience using financial management tools (SAP and STAR), including spreadsheet and databases in a work environment;
• Experience in performing financial support functions (e.g. cashing and registering funds, managing petty cash, verifying or preparing invoices, etc.);
• Experience in initiating procurement processes;
• Experience working in and delivering services to a northern and/or isolated community.
📌OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The position may require the incumbent to:
• Wear a Parks Canada uniform as per the uniform policy;
• Work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required;
• Travel for work and/or training purposes.

•When position is located in area classed as isolated and remote, a pre-employment medical examination of an individual and his/her dependants may be required.
