Intent of the process
This process will be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates.
It may also be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (Deployment, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Term or Indeterminate) within Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) in different locations with various language profiles and requirements (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB or CBC/CBC or English Essential) and various security requirements (reliability or secret).
By default, and in the interest of the greater public service, pools created as a result of staffing processes at ISC may be shared with other government departments.

EDUCATION:
ED1 - Successful completion of two (2) years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in any field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination* of education, training and experience.

A secondary school diploma and at least two (2) years of relevant work experience in at least one of the essential experience criteria listed below or on-the-job training.

EXPERIENCE:
EX1 - Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on program or operational issues impacting clients, partners or stakeholders.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
ASSET EDUCATION:
AED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics field.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AEX1 - Experience in the management of human** and financial*** resources.
AEX2 - Experience maintaining collaborative work relationships with stakeholders.
AEX3 - Experience or knowledge of delivery of programs or services to client group(s).
** Human resources management is defined as direct accountability for directing and managing staff. Examples of managing HR may include implementing HR strategies to ensure workforce capacity to meet operational needs, developing work plans, assigning work priorities, setting performance objectives and performance indicators to measure results, assessing performance, recruiting and resolving HR issues. Applicants must provide the number of staff they lead/supervise.
*** Management of financial resources is defined as direct accountability for managing a budget. Examples of managing financial resources may include delegation for budget, resource management and forecasting, planning, budget allocation, tracking expenditures, reporting, contracting, etc. Applicants must include the size of the budget they managed directly.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Willing and able to work overtime and travel as required.
