Duties

The Facilities Officer is responsible for providing assistance and operational support for the delivery of workplace services activities, including the administration of mail/courier services and other administrative services. These may include assistance with Facility Management tasks and projects (workstation moves, minor renovations), building management services, and other tasks that support and help ensure a quality work environment that enhances office and staff well-being.

IMPORTANT The position is located in Ottawa, Ontario and requires a full time presence on-site with ad-hoc possibility to telework.

✔️EXPERIENCE

E1 – Experience* working in the field of facilities management, property management and/or accommodation services;

E2 – Experience* working in a client-based service environment and providing service directly to clients;

E3 - Experience in dealing and collaborating with internal and/or external clients and/or stakeholders;

E4 - Experience in using different software applications (for example: Microsoft 365).

(*) “Experience” means depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of duties over a period of approximately 6 months within the last 24 months.

✔️ASSET EXPERIENCE

AE1 - Experience in coordinating with central agencies, property building management, and other internal and external service providers with regards to accommodation requests.

AE2 - Experience with workspace planning, coordinating office requirements, re-location, or fit-up or construction projects;

AE3 - Experience with disposal of assets using GCSurplus;

AE4 – Experience with the use and administration of the Archibus space management tool, or similar; and,

AE5 – Experience in administration support such as; mail/courier services, security escort.

Conditions of employment

Secret security clearance - You must be a Canadian Citizen and eligible for a Top Secret security clearance to FINTRAC's standards.

FINTRAC’s process includes a suitability interview, a credit and financial check, fingerprinting, a background investigation covering at least the last 10 years, as well as other assessments necessary to determine a candidate’s suitability for work at FINTRAC. Candidates must be able to produce sufficient records related to any significant period of time spent outside Canada.

Candidates may be required to submit security documentation and may be subject to security investigations at any phase of the selection process.

Suitability is an on-going condition of employment at FINTRAC and must be maintained.

We understand that FINTRAC’s security clearance process is demanding. Protecting the safety of Canadians and the security of Canada’s economy is what we do; that is why all candidates go through a rigorous screening process before becoming a FINTRAC employee.

OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
►Willingness to work extended shifts on a rotational basis, which may include days,
evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays.
►This position requires full time onsite presence with ad-hoc telework possibility.
