The Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada will follow the guidelines of the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer regarding the hybrid work model applied across the federal public service. We are currently operating on a hybrid work schedule, and the selected candidate will be required to be on-site a minimum of three days per week.

Duties

Under the responsibility of the regional manager / chief appraiser for the Quebec Region, you provide advisory services regarding the evaluation of real estate. The support you will provide will help decision-makers from all departments, state corporations and federal agencies make informed decisions about their real estate planning. The Valuation Services team is also the federal government's only competent and mandatory authority to provide impartial advice on the values of real estate that is purchased, sold or leased.

⮩ Graduation with a degree* from an accredited post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization** in economics, sociology or statistics.

📌 REMARKS: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

❗*The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities
❗**Acceptable specialization is at least four (4) post-secondary courses in economics, sociology or statistics. Please note, the number of courses cannot be divided into the 3 areas.

📢 To be considered for the position, the candidate must hold the Chartered Appraiser (EA) designation awarded by the Ordre des évaluateurs agréés du Québec, or the Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) designation granted by the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Although this title is required to hold the position, candidates may submit their application. However, holding the title is an essential condition for employment.
