PROFILE
Our Document Production Specialist will work in a team environment in our Document Production Group (“DPG”) to provide support to our Staff and Professionals. The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
This role works from evening/weekend shift (Wednesday to Friday 3:30pm – 11:00pm & Saturday and Sunday 12:00pm – 7:30pm).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transcribing letters, memos, agreements and legal documents from hard copy, Bighand file or handwritten notes using relevant software;
 - Providing formatting support for complex documents, and troubleshooting formatting concerns;
 - Editing existing documents as requested;
 - Converting outside documents and ensuring new versions meet professional standards;
 - Editing, combining and bookmarking PDF documents;
 - Creating form documents in PDF and Word;
 - Designing and creating documents/presentations utilizing specific software programs;
 - Acting as a resource person for all personnel regarding questions about document production;
 - Communicating with professionals and legal administrative assistants to clarify directions and requests;
 - Other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
- Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized post secondary institution;
 - 8+ years experience with document production is preferred;
 - Advanced technical expertise in MS Office, Adobe and Kofax;
 - Strong experience and proficiency in transcription;
 - Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills;
 - Ability to handle a heavy and varied workload;
 - Digital dictation experience;
 - Strong prioritization and organization skills;
 - Advanced problem solving skills, including the ability to set priorities while dealing with conflicting and emerging priorities.
