GHD is looking for a Senior Track Engineer to join our team in the GTA. As the Senior Track Engineer, you will lead internal Designers and Engineers with a primary focus on organizing the technical team to complete the task; manage all input and design coordination between disciplines, control the design path, solve problems, and hold responsibility for the track design in achieving the final result.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Partner closely with the Rail and Transit Business Lead, and Project Managers project functions, with focus on managing the track design project team
  • Coordinate all aspects of the design team
  • Develop or verify the technical scope of a project
  • Lead track design coordination meetings and address critical issues that impact external partners
  • Ensure all requirements including specifications and standards are integrated into the project
  • Serve as liaison between the site and engineering disciplines during construction and be responsible for the review of shop drawings

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) degree or equivalent
  • Professional Engineer licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario
  • 15+ years' experience similar or related experience
  • Demonstrable experience in the development and design of rail and transit track in a 3D environment, including complex alignments, junctions, turnouts and crossovers
  • Detailed understanding of Canadian Rail Codes and Standards, including (but not limited to) AREMA, CN, CPKC, and Metrolinx Track Standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team building and mentoring skills

The salary range for this position is $102,381–$152,381. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.
