Who are we looking for?
Our local team specializes in environmental consulting, applied science, and remediation construction oversight. The team supports brownfield redevelopment projects, completes environmental site assessments and remediation, designs and implements risk management measures, and manages long‑term remedial system operation, maintenance, and monitoring programs for public and private sector clients across Ontario, Michigan, and globally.

You’ll be supported by experienced team members and will have opportunities to learn and grow across a range of project activities, which may include:
- Preparing project related technical documents including environmental reports, proposals, technical specifications, work plans and cost estimates, and drawings for review.
- Field work and subcontractor oversight associated with environmental investigations and remediation activities, including site investigations, drilling, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation, vapour sampling, and surface water/sediment sampling.
- A variety of project types ranging from environmental monitoring, due diligence, risk assessment, and risk management for private and public sectors.
- Coordination and scheduling of project related work, including working with other GHD staff, external contractors, and public entities (i.e. obtain permits).
What you will bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) designation is considered an asset
- 0–3 years of experience in the environmental field. Experience supporting field programs, site activities, or project delivery in applied or consulting environments is an asset.
- Willingness and ability to travel (both Canada and US) to complete field programs and collaborate with clients is required
- Some field programs may involve travel, variable hours, outdoor work, and remote locations. We plan work thoughtfully and support team members to ensure health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail
- Flexible with project types and responsibilities
- Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills to effectively express technical information to multiple audiences including subcontractors, field staff, clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and be highly communicative
- Ability to manage your schedule
- Valid Class G driver's license (an MVR check will be performed prior to hire)
* The salary range for this position is $XXXX - $XXXX. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.
