GHD has an immediate opportunity for a People Leader, Canada. The People Leader will have responsibility for the Canadian region and serve on the Canada Leadership Team. This position will provide professional and contemporary strategic and operational people management advice and initiates human resource best practices to support the achievement of the region’s business objectives and GHD's overall strategic goals. The position can be located in the Vancouver, the GTA or Montreal.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnership

  • Develop a strategy for growth to contribute to the overall Canadian business strategy from a people perspective, anticipate future human resources needs, and develop scalable human resources processes to support a rapidly growing workforce.
  • Work collaboratively with Executive General Manager, Canada to define business priorities.
  • Works with Regional General Manager and Center of Excellence partners on specific development and succession needs.
  • Lead through high growth periods and implement effective organizational structure designs.
  • Analyzes talent data to provide insight to the region for training and learning/development priorities.
  • Champions Inclusion and Diversity through partnership with Center of Excellence and strategic partnership with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
  • Collaborating with business leadership at all levels in operational matters.
  • Manages performance process, outcomes, and follow-up action for region.

People Leadership

  • Lead and inspire the local team to deliver People KPIs; align all People processes and programs to core values, strategic priorities and vision, in accordance with group policies.
  • Ensure seamless execution of People operations, including payroll, benefits, and compliance.
  • Implement systems and processes to optimize People efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
  • Monitor People metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of People initiatives and make data-driven improvements.
  • Ensures region people processes are consistent with company policy and local legal requirements

What you will bring:

Education:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred

Experience

  • General Experience: Experience level enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges (10+years).
  • Managerial Experience: Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames (10+ Years).
  • Proven track record of managing through high growth periods and implementing effective organizational structure designs.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and establish a positive organizational culture.
  • Client first mindset.
  • Proven ability to develop and align leadership and business groups in support of achieving business strategy.

The salary range for Vancouver-based candidates is: $207,790-$346,362.
