Our EDO (Engineering Design Organization) is looking for two (Revit, Architecture, Electrical, or Mechanical) Co-op Technician's who are ready to join our growing Canadian Operations within EDO. These roles can be based out of our Vancouver, BC office.

Position is for May 2025 co-op term.

Our EDO BIM Group works within a collaborative environment for various large-scale Provincial, Regional, Municipal industrial and commercial projects. Our team provides integrated Engineering services that facilitate project lifecycle from initial policy and promotes project economics and business case advice, through concept, environmental assessment, detailed design, permitting, construction administration and asset management support services.

In conjunction with the Regional BIM Manager, Project BIM Coordinators and BIM Discipline Designers (collaboration), the Co-op BIM role is specific to those candidates who embraces modern technologies and applications in progressive engineering design delivery workflows with a keen eye to the details that enable project teams to be successful, meeting client needs and requirements.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Aid BIM Managers in realizing BIM compliance through technical design, standard, and workflow requirements.
    • drawing deliverables and documentation outputs
    • manage federated project model
    • developing / implementation software templates and standards
    • ensure technical processes are integrated into project workflows are followed
    • assistance during tendering, proposals and submissions to help meet deliverable requirements
  • Learn how BIM methods encourage overall model integrity compliance and good work habits through.
    • running model audit check tools.
    • clash reporting models.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Currently enrolled in one of the following technician diploma programs: Revit/Architecture/Mechanical/Electrical.
  • Software Capabilities may include but are not limited to: BIM 360, ACC, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D, ProjectWise, MicroStation.
  • Understands ISO19650 compliant workflows and can lead others in this area (including Parts 1, 2 and 3).
  • Understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) configuration and ongoing information management processes, systems and information states (i.e., BIM360, ACC, ProjectWise).
  • Sound understanding of Level of Development (LOD) definitions and integration.

Salary range: $23.00 - $26.10 per hour, based on experience.
