Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Managing small to medium size projects, and supporting Project Managers and Business Groups on various environmental and industrial projects;
- Leading internal project teams for multi-media assessments of complex sites;
- Supporting the growth of the environmental practice in Eastern Canada;
- Performing Phase I to IV Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs);
- Coordinating field activities that include sampling of: groundwater, soil, soil vapour, sediment, and surface water;
- Performing oversight of excavation and drilling activities, on occasion;
- Implementing and enforcing health and safety plans on project sites;
- Supervising the activities of site personnel as well as those of subcontractors;
- Interacting with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies;
- Project task coordination and ability to manage projects, procure subcontractors, implement/oversee fieldwork, participate in risk assessment and remedial design efforts;
- Technical report writing and proposal development for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities;
- Project management, coordination and planning skills to meet client timelines and budget.
What you will bring to the team:
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Science or Engineering (P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation considered an asset);
- At least 4 years of environmental consulting experience in the North American marketplace;
- Knowledge of Provincial guidelines and Regulations;
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, by handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed;
- Flexibility to work variable hours, for site visits, to write reports, or to deliver work;
- Availability to manage, coordinate and/or work on sites throughout the office province or outside the Province,
- Excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to analyze and synthesize;
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle;
- Attention to detail;
- A comprehensive understanding and experience with Federal framework and/or FCSAP process would be a great asset.
- Experience in completion of risk assessments, would be considered an asset.
