We are currently looking for Environmental Professionals to join our teams in our Fredericton and Halifax offices.

Your responsibilities

• Perform Phase I to IV Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs);
• Experience in completion of risk assessments, considered an asset;
• Coordinate field activities that include sampling of groundwater, soil, soil vapour, sediment, surface water;
• Perform oversight of excavation and drilling activities, on occasion;
• Implement and enforce health and safety plans on project sites;
• Supervision of the activities of site personnel as well as those of subcontractors;
• Interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies;
• Project task coordination and ability to manage projects, procure subcontractors, implement/oversee field work, participate in risk assessment and remedial design efforts;
• Technical report writing and proposal development for submission to provincial and federal regulatory authorities;
• Manage small to medium size projects as well as support Project Managers/Business Groups on various environmental and industrial projects;
• Lead internal project teams for multi-media assessments of complex sites;
• Possess strong project management, coordination and planning skills to meet client timelines and budget;
• Support the growth of the environmental practice in Eastern Canada.

The ideal candidate would have the following skills

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Science or Engineering (P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation considered an asset).
• At least 5 years of environmental consulting experience in the North American marketplace.
• Knowledge of Provincial guidelines and Regulations.
• A comprehensive understanding and experience with Federal framework and/or FCSAP process would be a great asset.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Bilingual capabilities considered an asset.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle.
• Attention to detail. Ability to analyze and synthesize.
• Available for variable hours.
• Available to manage, coordinate and/or work on sites throughout the office province or outside the Province, on occasion.
