Who are we looking for?

We're looking for a Electrical Engineer to join our Energy Group to provide technical support and manpower assistance to local in both proposal and delivery projects achieving team and business group goals.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in but not limited to:

• Perform general engineering tasks (design calculations, data analysis, using software to undertake engineering design).
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, detailed design and technical reports.
• Perform engineering analysis using software tools and manual calculations to produce solutions for projects.
• Provide technical input for design proposals, feasibility studies, and technical reports.
• Preparation of drawings, technical specifications, cost estimates and reports.
• Coordinate site or field technical activities, field testing or investigations, including analytical set up and managing subcontractors.
• Consult with and manage design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes. Lead technical delivery, coordinating a team on more complex design options.
• Undertake risk assessments and complete Safety in Design activities on assigned projects.
• Perform Quality Assurance checks for work completed by others when delegated.
• Communicate with clients about current work and future needs, provide timely updates on project progress.

What you will bring to the team:

• 5-10 years of Electrical Engineering and related industry experience.
• Registered/licensed/chartered Engineer status (if a requirement of the job).
• Broad knowledge of a professional discipline or advanced knowledge of technical practices demonstrated in a relevant industry or consulting business.
• Sound knowledge of design drafting tools (AutoCAD and equivalent).
• Overhead line design for Transmission and Distribution background.
• Background in Overhead Line Design software such PLS CADD and equivalent (Advantage).
• Knowledge of local and international standards relevant to transmission and distribution design.
