Cowan Insurance Group is looking for a Relationship Manager to join our Private Client department! Reporting directly to the Director of Private Client, the successful candidate will exemplify service excellence for our VIP clientele. This prestigious role requires profound expertise in the personal lines insurance industry, encompassing policies, products, and exceptional client-focused support. The Relationship Manager will provide customer service while building trust and loyalty with existing clients. Your expertise is the dedicated anchor that clients feel while fostering and maintaining long-term relationships.

What you will do:

• Responsible for providing proactive and exceptional servicing as well as maintaining an existing portfolio of Private Clients (VIP Personal Lines Clients).
• Pursue new business through effective prospecting and cross lines selling of existing Private Clients.
• Build long-term relationships with existing Private Clients to gain a deep understanding of their Personal Insurance needs to deliver on client expectations. After hours client support may be required.
• Provide timely and effective resolutions to Private Clients issues or concerns, escalating them through appropriate internal channels.
• Educate prospective Private Clients on their insurance portfolio and recommending suitable insurance products to mitigate potential risks.
• Identify referral opportunities within our other lines of business.
• Develop, prepare and present comprehensive annual renewals to Private Clients as well as insurance proposals for prospective clients.
• Develop, implement and execute a retention strategy for their portfolio.

What you will bring:

• RIBO License required
• 5+ years experience in Personal Insurance; knowledge of diverse insurance policies and emerging insurance trends.
• Exceptional relationship-builder with strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
• Ability to establish nurturing connections with individuals and organizations.
• Experience in High Net Worth or VIP clients is a significant asset.
• Ability to work efficiently as team or independently while fostering collaboration.
• Excellent organizational and client management skills.
• Strong attention to detail while working under pressure and meeting set deadlines.
• Previous experience using EPIC or equivalent Insurance Broker Management system.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• CAIB or CIP designation (or working towards designation) would be an asset.
