SCOPE
Reporting to Senior Director, User Experience and Brand Management, Lifelong learning, will contribute to the sustainable financial growth of the LLL unit, through increasing customized training, and workshops activities and by forging strong relationships with corporate clients and partners. They will support in the expansion of the LLL unit’s clientele. They will represent LLL in client relations and will be responsible for development and application of effective sales strategy. The incumbent acts as a resource person in matters related to the competitive environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the organization and delivery of customized training for private and governmental organizations, including professional training projects and other activities, online or in person, for the unit.
• Contribute to business development for professional training services and partnerships in collaboration with faculties and departments and their leadership within the University.
• Organize meetings with prospective clients and assess their needs. Promote the LLL unit's offerings and customized training programs and services to meet customer needs.
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets, proposals, service offers and contracts for all new and ongoing customized training projects. Ensure budgetary control of projects under his/her responsibility.
• Responsible for the recruitment and hiring of professional education subject matter experts and trainers in pertinent fields for workshops and customized trainings.
• Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of delivery and client satisfaction for corporate customized training and professional education. Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Provide functional supervision to the Assistant, Marketing and Business Development, such as assigning work activities and providing direction and support.
• Participate in the planning of digital marketing campaigns including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising. Coordinate with digital communications content creator and copywriter maintaining our social media presence across all digital channels. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
• Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
• Play a key role in the continuous review and improvement of the marketing and business development activities and act as a resource person for problem resolution.
• Lead and conceptualize market research about the unit’s professional education clientele.
• Identify competitors and market opportunities in the education sector, collaborate in the development and expansion of the Units’ customer base.
• Perform other tasks in support of the unit.
• Maintain competitive expertise with respect to the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or in a field related to the primary responsibilities and four to seven years of related experience
• Experience working in a university setting, highly desirable
• Advanced knowledge of digital communication channels
• Solid experience in managing digital campaigns and overseeing activities related to organic indexing, search engines and databases, as well as email, social media and/or display marketing.
• Demonstrable experience in project management and previous leadership experience in a front-line environment are considered assets.
• Highly creative with experience in segmentation and targeting, as well as devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SiteImprove or similar tools)
• Very good spoken and written English (Level 5) and Good spoken and written French (Level 4) in order to develop communication and marketing materials and deal with people in situations that require accurate use of both languages
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Teams, SharePoint) and intermediate knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Adobe Experience Manager).
• Experience working with Easy Project, Campaign Monitor, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), and other web-based applications are considered assets.
• Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns as an asset.
• Highly organized, sense of initiative and diligent attention to detail
• Strong time management and planning skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, customer service, decision-making, interpersonal, leadership, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking an asset.
