Position Overview: The City of Kitchener is undertaking an exciting, multi-phased transformational project to implement SAP SuccessFactors as our human capital management solution. As an integral member of the project team, the ERP Business Solutions Analyst (SuccessFactors) will provide business analysis support in this exciting opportunity for change, innovation, and modernization. This position will collaborate closely with internal business partners, project team members, IT and external vendors to apply best practices in implementing efficient and sustainable business practices, that enable us to successfully implement SuccessFactors into our ERP landscape. Responsibilities: Business analysis - Develops strong understanding of SAP SuccessFactors leading practices and system design, as well as existing City of Kitchener HR, payroll and administrative business processes; utilizes sound business analysis to map and communicate process changes required to adopt standard functionality and business process improvements.
- Acts as a trusted partner for process owners and system users and ensures requirements and business impacts are well understood and represented.
- Manages SuccessFactors functional requirements throughout the implementation project, ensuring traceability through the design and validation phases
- Ensures end to-end business processes are accounted for, documented and well-understood by all users
- Assists project manager in facilitating deliverable sign-offs.
- Documents business processes using standard business analysis tools and techniques (process flow charts, swim lane diagrams, storyboarding, SWOT analysis, technical writing etc.) as appropriate.
- Works closely with the project team, IT, and vendor partners to ensure effective translation of business requirements into technical specifications.
- Coordinates with solution vendors and ensures solution requirements are delivered, providing input on vendor performance.
Testing and Validation Support - Collaborates with business process owners to develop test scenarios and test cases.
- Coordinates UAT testing, and provides guidance and documentation to users.
- Provides support for UAT testers.
Change Management - Supports business impact analysis of changes to ERP systems and processes.
- Supports execution of change management and communication strategies in collaboration with the Change Management and Training Analyst
Training and Documentation - Creates and maintains business process and system documentation.
- Develops and provides training on process and system functions and procedures.
- Tracks known issues and maintains troubleshooting and workaround documentation.
Other - Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: - 3-year degree/diploma in a related field (e.g. Business, Computer Science or related field).
- 4-7 years of relevant related experience.
- In-depth understanding of SAP and integrated ERP solutions (preference given to those with experience in SAP SuccessFactors).
- Certifications or training in business analysis, process engineering or process improvement methodologies and techniques are considered an asset.
- Knowledge of financial, work management, human resources and / or payroll processes.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and business processes across a variety of business areas or sectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the business requirements lifecycle (elicitation, analysis, specification and validation) and business analysis tools and techniques.
- Must have strongly developed facilitation and interview skills to effectively conduct business requirements and business process improvement workshops and interviews.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting expertise in complex and highly integrated systems.
- Experience with technical writing and creating/maintaining technical and user documentation.
- Proven ability to participate as an effective and collaborative team member with strong customer relations skills.
- Strong time management, organizational skills and ability to prioritize and respond to multiple concurrent requests in a timely manner and meeting service levels.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as ability to participate with a high degree of professionalism as an effective team member with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively with different user and technical teams.
- Must have the ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to a variety of tasks.
