Position Overview:

Kitchener Golf is seeking responsible, energetic, team focused students for the 2025 season to help us maintain our golf courses. Term of Employment: April 1, 2025November 4, 2025(employment dates are weather dependent)

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Golf Course setup.
  • Empty/clean waste receptacles.
  • Clean and sanitize course accessories and furniture.
  • Occasional/scheduled support preparing, sanitizing golf carts for customers.
  • Sets up signage and ropes.
  • Repairs damaged or vandalized items on the course.
  • Rakes, weeds, and edges sand bunkers.
  • Cuts and trims grass, waters plant material, weeds and edges flower beds, and prunes trees and plants.
  • Edges sprinkler heads, yardage markers, line trimming, and bunkers.
  • Maintains cart paths.
  • Divot repair of tees or other areas.
  • Blows leaves and debris cleanup.
  • Planting.
  • Rakes and/or shovels material.
  • Paints golf course fixtures, benches, and ball markers.
  • Cleans building maintenance facilities (e.g., washrooms, lunchrooms, office) and course washrooms as required.
  • Assists with construction projects.
  • Operates utility vehicle and bunker machine for various tasks,
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum equivalent to partial secondary school education.
  • Up to 1 month of related experience.
  • Willing/able to work in all types of weather.
  • Willing to work in a team environment without supervision in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to perform physical labour with high quality outcomes.
  • Willing/able to work weekend shifts starting as early as 5:30 am.
  • Valid MTO G2 class driver's license in good standing and ability to provide Drivers Abstract at your own expense as a condition of employment.
  • Able to complete mandatory online training relating to health and safety prior to starting your first day of work.
  • Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
