WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our fully remote Game Development team creates mobile apps using Unity Engine with 8 day development cycles. We build all our games from the ground up using our unique innovative process. Our library of games contains over 350 games on both Google Play and the App Store.

We are looking for an exceptional person to join our team as a Junior Unity Game Developer. At Adknown, you will be working individually to create 15+ mobile games. We will teach you how to make unique and fun games through innovative processes. If using creative solutions for game design, wanting to make games without a mechanical focus, and thinking outside the box are qualities you possess, then this is the place for you!

Note: Applicants must live in Ontario and be able to pick up equipment from our office in Guelph, ON.

DUTIES

• Participating in all aspects of the Game Development process (game idea creation, paper prototype, art, coding, game design, UI design, MVP, game testing, receiving feedback, publishing game) in an 8 day development cycle
  

• Working in an agile-friendly environment, where you will test other employees games, collect feedback on your games, and implement the feedback
  

• Use existing art assets, create your own art, or work with third party assets to build games
  

• Publish games to Google Play and App Store
  

• You will be trained here at Adknown on all the above tasks
  

ESSENTIALS

• 1+ years of professional Unity game development experience or a strong portfolio of equivalent Unity work
  

• Able to create fun, creative game ideas following all company requirements
  

• Must be comfortable to receive feedback from your Manager and fix the game based on the feedback
  

• Accountability of work
  

• Strong understanding of Unity, game design concepts, and game development
  

• Degree or diploma in a Game Development program or related field, or equivalent experience
  

• Passion for mobile games and mobile gaming
  

• Familiarly with ChatGPT
  

BONUS POINTS

• Artist / Art skills (pencil + paper drawing, 2D art skills, color theory, Procreate).
  If programming skills are “lower from essentials above”, we would love for you to still apply, we are very “artist” friendly here!

• An eye for understanding mobile game trends on Google Play and App Store and being able to translate that into your games
